Leaving for Brazil

As some of you might note it is currently 2:30 am. In 30 min I will be heading to LAX for three weeks in Brazil. Last night I got 1.5 hours of sleep, the night before 3 and an average of 4 the two nights before that. So I am a little tired right now. =) It’s a good thing I sleep so well on planes.

For those of you who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, please be in prayer for our trip. We will be working with a lot of youth and various street kids sharing the gospel and teaching about the spiritual disciplines of the Christian life. Please also pray for the photo work which I will be doing and that its result can help further ministry there. I look forward to posting some great images when I return.

I was trying with little success earlier tonight to do a self portrait at Starbucks to put with this post. After a few failed attempts (maybe I was too tired) my friend Anya, who works at the Starbucks, volunteered to take a photo of me. It took me 5 min to explain how to use my camera including doing a demo photo of her. This wasn't because of a lack of intelligence on her part, professional cameras just require a lot of factors and button pushing for every image you create. But she did a good job and the final image has the look I was going for. Thanks Anya!
