LAX / Unpacking to Pack
This morning I finished unpacking from my Brazil trip mainly because I need to shuffle some stuff and pack for the flight I am sitting at LAX waiting to board right now. Matt and I are heading up to Portland to shoot a wedding United airlines terminal 71b.
I'm typing on my Blackberry so this will probably be short, but a couple of things lately have been making me think a lot about the brevity of life and eternity. The first is that I am only 26 and starting to get some grey hairs. Solomon talks about this in Ecc. 12:5. The second thing was at the wedding I shot yesterday. After the cake cutting four men were carrying the cake table and the remains of the cake away. It made me think of all the effort and planning which went into the wedding and pile of crumbs which an hour earlier was a beautifull cake. We as humans make a lot of productions in our lives, but they all pass and in the end Ecc 12:13 always echos in my head "The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep His comnmandments, for this is the whole duty of man." Within all these productions and all the things which we do, it simply comes down to one duty which we as humans have during our brief period here on earth.
P.S. Matt just checked the time stamps on the images from walking up the aisle to walking down the aisle at Rachel and Byrons wedding. My guesstimate of 9 minutes was correct.
