Encounter with God

As we live our daily lives I think sometimes it is easy for us to read the black and white text in the pages of our Bible and forget that there is this amazing being bigger than anything we can comprehend who wrote those words. This evening as I was driving down the freeway I happened to look off to my left and saw this wonderful break in the clouds with rays of sun shining through. It was one of those breaks which is there for about four minutes and then gone. In these minutes I was reminded of the expanse of God. He in a sense showed a small bit of his glory to my city through this beautiful display of light. It was almost as if He was reminding me that there is a real being behind the black and white text which we so often read.
