My Neighbors

Tonight I finished my last final exam for the semester and arrived home about 9:00pm. This is early for me and it was such a beautiful night out that I decided to take a walk around our apartment complex before going to bed. I ran into my friend Bodey from #201 and Al from #101. I live in #211 and my parking spot is right near my door, so I don’t get down to the end of the building very often. We chilled for awhile and I snapped a few shots. Al is working on a degree in physical therapy and Bodey is just finishing his lower division gen-ed’s at a local college, so we all had finals to complain about.

It’s so easy to get caught up in our own little world and completely ignore the people we live around. We will often drive long distances to hang out with our friends and never even meet our neighbors. Tonight I enjoyed getting to interact with people and I did so without having to drive anywhere. Meeting your neighbors is something I would recommend to everyone reading this. It’s a good thing.

There are a few more photos of Al, and another neighbor named Armando on my Astoria St. Project page from late last year.
