Sharon Staats

A few days ago I told my friend Sharon I would do a few portraits of her to use in a publication she is responsible for. We created some images which I hope will serve her purposes. But the ones I really enjoyed from this shoot were some of the candid laughing ones I snapped as she was telling me a story from here college days. These images aren't flattering, and no-one but me will ever see them. But they will go in my archives with all the rest of the images which bring back good memories. One of the things I love about shooting is all the people I have the pleasure of meeting, and the stories from so many interesting lives which I get to hear. I won't repeat the story Sharon told me, but it involved the beach and a fur coat. If you know her, and ask very nicely, she might retell it.
